Summary/Objective
Under general supervision, we offer non-emergency, ALS ( advanced life support ), BLS (basic life support),and non-medical wheelchair transportation to Columbus and the surrounding areas.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED
Essential Life Support and Advance Life Support
CPR & First Aid Certified
Current state Paramedic Certification is required before the start date
Valid driver’s license
National Registry Paramedic Certification

Essential Functions

Provide essential life support treatment to patients.
The EMT/PARAMEDIC scope of practice includes providing CPR, giving oxygen, administering glucose, and providing primary and advanced life support to patients.
Safely operate and maintain an emergency vehicle while in compliance with all laws about operating an emergency vehicle while transporting patients.
Render competent patient care in both pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
Thorough knowledge of EMS procedures and ability to integrate knowledge and performance into practical situations.
Interact professionally with other healthcare personnel.
Interact professionally with disabled, disadvantaged, sick, and injured persons.
Work as part of a team
Accurate and thoroughly documented information required in EMS charts, including

PCRs, vehicle inspections, and inventory checks.

Assists other EMS providers with EMS care.
Give reports verbally or in writing to higher healthcare facilities.
Clean the equipment and check and replace the used and damaged supplies.
Compliance with all company and local agency policies, procedures, and applicable protocols for emergency treatment and transportation
Attend refresher programs and continuing education required by the medical director.
Maintain a clean appearance, demonstrating courteous, professional, and ethical behavior.

Possess good verbal communication skills.
Ability to deal with adverse situations.

Physical Demands

It is physically strenuous and can be emotionally stressful.
Bending, sitting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and equipment
Must be able to drive/ride in an Ambulance for long periods without issue
Must possess the physical agility necessary to lift and move patients safely
