Job responsibilities

  • Build and maintain software documentation
  • Build layout and design using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility of applications
  • Apply software development best practices to deliver well designed, testable, effective solutions
  • Identify development bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain, scale, and monitor web applications and improve specifications based on technical requirements
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into development

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3 years of experience as an HTML/CSS developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and XML
  • Experience in web programming
  • Expertise in troubleshooting code and applications
  • Experience in translating user requirements into code
  • Experience in building intuitive front-end applications
  • Understanding of code versioning technologies (Git, Mercurial, SVN)
  • Fluent in English to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
  • Basic understanding of backend programming languages such as Java, Python, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
