We are seeking an experienced medical biller to join a local non-profit organization that serves families and communities across the Greater Rochester area. This hybrid position allows you to work from home with occasional on-site collaboration – just for orientation and once a week thereafter. All necessary computer equipment will be provided!

In the day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:

  • submitting claims to insurance companies
  • requesting authorizations
  • following up on claims as needed
  • processing payments, refunds, and denials
  • investigating denied claims
  • other duties as assigned

Days/Hours: Full time, a 35-40 hour work week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM-5PM.

Salary: $21-22/hr, depending on experience.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a medical biller or accounts receivable specialist
  • An associate degree in business administration, accounting, or medical billing and coding is required (greater years of experience will be considered in lieu of education)
